Turmeric & Ginger Oxymel

A delicious oxymel that can be used as a salad dressings, or a sauce for roasted veggies or stir-fry’s.

Equipment

  • 1 250ml Mason Jar

Ingredients

  • 4 tbsp powdered turmeric or 3 tbsp fresh turmeric
  • 1 tbsp cracked black pepper
  • 2 tbsp fresh ginger, peeled & chopped or 1 tbsp powdered ginger
  • 125 ml apple cider vinegar
  • 125 ml unpasteurized honey

Instructions

  • Add together the turmeric, black pepper and ginger in a pint-sized glass jar.
  • Cover halfway with apple cider vinegar, and fill the rest of the jar with honey.
  • Place a piece of wax paper over the jar before capping to prevent corrosion of the metal lid. Let steep at least 2 weeks.
  • Strain out the herbs, bottle and label.
