Calendula hydrosol is antimicrobial and antibacterial. It promotes healing and has analgesic properties. Calendula hydrosol is also very clarifying and rejuvenating, making it a wonderfully refreshing facial toner, too! Calendula hydrosol is used to address cuts, scrapes and wounds, calendula is a powerful antiseptic and has fast wound healing properties.  Calendula hydrosol has strong anti-inflammatory properties. You can use it to reduce inflammation brought about by acne, eczema, psoriasis & bug bites.  Being anti-fungal, you can use calendula hydrosol to treat a myriad of fungal infections including diaper rash, dandruff, skin fungus infections and even candida. For candida and diaper rashes, use calendula hydrosol in a sitz bath.  The astringent properties of calendula hydrosol make it a good facial toner for those with oily skin, acne prone skin and aging skin.
For the winter months, you will receive your hydrosol in a BPA-free plastic bottle with a spray pump.
About Hydrosols: Hydrosols contain all of the essence of the plant like essential oils but in a milder form. The word hydrosol, ‘hydro’ water and ‘sol’ solution means water solution and refers to the fact that a hydrosol is water containing plant molecules, it is produced alongside essential oil in the process of steam distillation. This makes them suitable for applications where essential oils may be too strong. Try hydrosols as a facial splash, body perfume, deodorant or air freshener. Hydrosols can be blended in most bath products and freshens up laundry water.
All Bear Roots Forest hydrosols are steam distilled in small batches with a copper still using plants grown or wildcrafted on our farm.
